Rimworld cloth storage12/19/2023 ![]() ![]() offers good insulation from extreme temperatures.is made from light materials (fabrics and leathers). They can be mixed and matched, as far as Apparel layers allow. Both clothing and armor use the same basic mechanics and the distinction is largely arbitrary beyond its use in sorting items. There are two main types of apparel, clothing and armor. 5.1 Insulation from a single piece of apparel.Rimworld is definitely about setting up systems and rules - not about micromanaging actions. I guarantee you will find it not worth your time after a while. ![]() If you used that mod drop or "drop gear" of an item into a stockpile where it was supposed to go then it wouldn't be moved from there though, so I suppose you can manually do something like this but. You might need to move half the itmes in the stockpile just to keep it sorted. Could be modded for sure, but I question the practical value of that somewhat, and also it would create a ton of work whenever a new item got added to a sorted pile. I mean, I do sorting in a sense of having stockpiles for different things, like one small one for only apparel and another next to it for weapons, but if you want to line up all the weapons in some specific order then no - there is nothing in vanilla that does this. Regarding sorting of items - that is a tough one. I just set a tile or two to preferred priority for tribalwear spesifically in the cells, and if you want to completely automate it you can even set up a crafting bill that does "do until you have X" to make sure that each cell always has a change of clothes ready no matter how much prisoner throughput you get and if outfits disappear due to releases ect. I do this exact same thing and strip all my prisoners and provide them with a throwaway quality piece of tribalwear. The "correct" way of doing this is certainly just to set up a stockpile right. Keep in mind that any items you move like this you need to forbid once dropped or else your colonists are liable to just haul it back again before the prisoner can wake up and dress himself. It works pretty well for some small tasks here and there where you need manual control (I also love the surgery estimates). Yep, was going to suggest the mod you just linked. Stockpile micro is tedious! Any recommendations for mods to make it easier? It works good because when they eventually become colonists they will get standard clothes. This is a great solution also! I am using all cloth shirts and pants because nobody seems to want to buy tribalwear though. ![]() It is dirt cheap, none of my Colonists are wearing it, it removes bad thoughts with just one item for male and female prisoners.Īnd if they get recruited they take it right back to the prison rack themselves. I have a critical stockpile, or rack, in my prison that stores tribalwear of good quality or better, with more than 51% condition.įor 35 leather its the perfect prisoner outfit. Quote from: SpaceDorf on July 12, 2017, 12:33:32 PMĮverytime the pick up something they should not, and I have to strip them again ![]() Is there a command to deliver fresh clothing? I didn't see that one. This is pretty funny from a roleplay perspective but it definitely gets the job done! "Here. Stockpile micromanagement or try forcing the colonist to wear the item, then force them to drop it in the prison. It will work, but not as quickly, and you have to remember to un-forbid everything so that your pawns have access in case they want to switch clothes. It is a fairly minor pain.Īnother method would be double clicking all the one type you want hauled in the stockpile (assuming all of your clothes are in one stockpile) and then forbidding them all, then un-forbid the one you want hauled. If there is more than one type, I then do that one after the first is hauled by changing up the stockpile settings and doing the same procedure. I usually pause the game, make a critical stockpile to contain one type I want hauled to the cell, then un-pause and re-pause again quickly and then force haul the specific item I want in there. I agree with the force haul method though, it is pretty simple. Well, it is a -6 for being nude isn't it? (Not sure if that is still the number, haven't had anyone nude for a while now and really looked at it) However unless it is really cold and you don't have heating for your prison cells it is usually irrelevant if prisoners wear clothes. Quote from: Lys on July 11, 2017, 08:32:45 PMĬreate a critical stockpile in the cell and force haul the piece of clothing (if it already is in a stockpile you have to de-zone the spot where it is lying). ![]()
